I literally walked away from my keyboard for just a few minutes, and thus lost out on getting two tickets for Christopher Kimball's appearance in Oak Park tomorrow evening (Nov. 19). Does anyone here have ideas or suggestions on how a friend and I might be able to get in to this event? (Tickets are $10, which can be used toward purchase of the newest America's Test Kitchen cookbook, or as a donation to the Unity Temple Restoration Fund if you don't want to buy the book.)

My brain is fried from all the things I've tried!

I'm also looking for 1 ticket for tonight's program.

Kimball was interviewed on Chicago Tonight that same day. I'm sure you can get that online, and he gave a lot of good advice on Thanksgiving cooking.

Thanks, Jonah! I'll definitely look that up. A friend of mine who did get tickets said the program in Oak Park was very good. Sigh.

No. A friend told me she had to beg last year because it was sold out. It appears it always sells out. If he's back next year I'm just going to buy a ticket. Rolling Stones were easier tickets this year.
