New Pizza place on Cortland right by Jane's and Cortland's Garage
We liked the people, and the salads and soup were very good. The pizza was ok. I felt like the sauce was a little too sweet, and the eggplant and garlic pizza didn't really taste like much of anything. The crust is so flavorful (and it is crispy too) that it really overwhelms the other flavors. Even the bacon and onion on the other pizza didn't taste very strong. Maybe it needed salt?
You order at the counter and they bring your dishes to you, you pay at the counter too.
Right now they are BYOB but they should be getting their license next week. Not sure what their corkage policy (if any) will be. They plan to have outdoor seating.
They will be doing pastry in the morning, as well as coffee from Intelligentsia (I think) but right now don't plan to open until 7am. My husband was trying to convince them to open at 6 so they can catch the morning Metra train riders - there are 4 trains that stop there around 6:30-6:45.
