Single cooking class near Algonquin

I'm stumped on a Christmas present for my husband. We love to cook. Then I remembered all those places popping up a few years ago where you could go for a cooking class. So I've been searching for over an hour. They seem to have vanished, or maybe I imagined them?

Does anyone have any thoughts on where to go? I thought Whole Foods had them, but I can't seem to find them. A place in Lake Barrington, Organizing Dinner, doesn't seem to have them. I've checked Harper. Flavour cooking school in Forest Park looks great. Probably an hours drive, but looks most promising.

Help?

The Chopping Block at the Merc has a bunch of classes in a very nice environment.

Sur La Table has classes as does Williams-Sonoma but I doubt they're as deep.

FYI - I've been to one class at TCB and really enjoyed it but it was years ago. Never did a SLT of W-S class.

You could also try Dabble for cooking classes, along with other kinds of classes that may suit your fancy!

Elgin Community College used to offer cooking classes. Closer than Forest Park.
