    Happy New Year!

The Lincoln Square lunch group is exploring new territory in 2014 (that is, Albany Park). We'll be heading to board darling Smalls Smoke Shack. For those with resolutions: all good things in moderation! And anyway, I think you burn more calories standing than sitting, so the possibility of no available seats will put you ahead of the game.

If we outgrow the space, we may take our food next door to the Lizard Lounge.

"To get long" meant to make do, to make well of whatever we had; it was about having a long view, which was endurance, and a long heart, which was hope.

Is the bar open that time of day? Have they expanded the eating area? Is that considered Lincoln Square still, scratch that just saw you place it in Albany Park ( my old hood).

I don't think I can make it so take plenty of pics. Lemoneater, my veg friend swears they are awesome with veg, & gluten-free offerings.

I'd held off on RSVPing because I've been laid up with a nasty cold...unfortunately it's still here and I'm still feeling horrible, so I don't think I can make it this month. Bummed because I've been wanting to try Smalls! :(

    Well, that was tasty!

Thanks to Simmon for the cutlery (and the lift home).

Charlotte, sorry you missed! We'll plan another outing for February, minus our fearless leader, who will no doubt be up to her eyeballs in coddle, colcannon, and crubeens.
