    The Roger Smith Hotel in New York City will be hosting the food tech on April 3-5, 2014. The theme of this year’s conference – From Flint Knives to Cloned Meat - focuses on the interrelationships of food, technology, and culture.

    Approximately 100 presenters will participate in 30 panel sessions and 5 workshops, covering topics from Industrial Farming and GMOs and the Technology of Chocolate Cake to 3D Printing and Artisanal Production. Workshop topics include sessions on crowd funding, using social media and more.

    As befits a food conference, excellent fare will be served at nightly receptions and daily lunches – all included in the registration fee.

    Hi,

    I will be at this conference moderating a panel on knives.

    I have been asked to cut off panelists at 11 minutes, I will try not be too literal. <yes, I am capable of corny jokes>

    That wasn't corny -- I'd say it was inevitable. I suspect that anyone reading "cut off" after "knives" will appreciate the fact that you didn't miss that opportunity. :)

    There are workshops on Thursday. I will attend Reading Cookbooks for Technology with Barbara Ketcham Wheaton. You can attend the workshop and skip the conference, here is a link to Workshop information.
