Post #1 - October 11th, 2005, 6:10 pmSorry, VI, but I just found out that Vienna Pastry on Addison is closing on Sunday, October 16. I saw the sign in their window and made Mr.K do a u-turn so we could buy something for oldtimes' sake.
20 years ago, when we were just married, our first apartment was in between both Link's Deli & Vienna Pastry. It was easy to put together a delicious meal with a short walk. Within a week, both will be gone and just part of our newlywed memories.
Mr.K was wondering where do we go now when the bakery urge hits. Caputo's is good but not in the same way as Vienna.

Post #3 - October 20th, 2005, 9:11 amThis is tragic news... I lived in Vienna for a year and then lived on these cakes for several more years. Does anyone know if they are going to open a new location or even know of a place that has similar cakes? I should have bought about ten and frozen them
