OK, I picked up some Kreplach soup over at Once Upon A Bagel in Highland Park, and now I suddenly have an unhealthy urge to try more kreplach soup. I poked around and found that this is supposed to be good at "Whats cooking?" and "The Bagel" but where else should I seek out? Bonus points for it being in the north suburbs.

Max's in Highland Park on Skokie Blvd at Lake/Cook and Max & Benny's in Northbrook on Waukegan, in that shopping center right next to the toll road spur ramp.

What's Cooking is closed. Eleven City Diner serves a respectable product - Lincoln Park location is a close as you'll get to the north suburbs.
Never order barbecue in a place that also serves quiche - Lewis Grizzard

Recently I've been hooked on the dense & toothsome kreplach at The Buffalo Restaurant in Buffalo Grove, specifically in their mish-mosh soup, also containing a great matzo ball with chicken broth & noodles. A bowl of that & half a sandwich for (I think) $6.95 is a pretty filling & economical lunch in my book.
