...Have to do this again--we're sold out! Thanks for your interest.
Saturday, February 22, 7 p.m.!Performance-artist & Old-Town School teacher Lance Brown is bringing his Will Rogers show to our intimate house-concert space (http://www.thepigandweasel.com) He's traveled for 25 years with the show, and written a book about it. Making this a dinner theatre experience to remember, I’ll be drawing from my recipe-revival archives (http://www.lostrecipesfound.com) to prepare and serve a homey meal featuring some of Will Rogers' favorite foods, and recipes. Space is limited to 30, (cafe-style seating) so R.V.S.P. now to https://www.facebook.com/events/561753593911524/ or email me at: thepigandweasel@gmail.com More info at: http://www.thepigandweasel.com/shows/wi ... er-theatre
Will's appetite was hearty and his tastes, plain. "I don't eat correctly," he once said. "But I eat a lot." Among his favorite foods? Beans, chili, ham, and cornbread. With that in mind, our menu will include:
    Thin-shaved country ham & biscuits
    Intensely-Good Steak Chili
Navy Beans with Smoked Ham Hock & Onions
Old-fashioned Corn Bread and/or corn pie
Ham Baked in a Crust with Brown Sugar & Cloves (Will Rogers' recipe)
Pure Oklahoma Squaw Corn (Recipe from Will Rogers' great-nephew)
Southern Green Beans (Recipe served at the Will Rogers family ranch)
Apple Crisp (Recipe from Betty Blake Rogers, Will's wife)

    Hi,

    I plan to be there.

I've been to a few Pig & Weasel events, which vary quite a bit. One evening it was an organist playing music to silent movies. Another time, I brought my Mom for an evening of Irish music. Of course, this time with an actor in character as Will Rogers accompanied by recipes he was fond of.

    Regards,
    Cathy2
