We were at Joong Boo last month picking up some spring roll supplies and I noticed a dumpling stand set up just outside the exit. I didn't remember seeing it before but couldn't be sure.

Anyway, DNAInfo has a recent piece on it:

So, has anyone here had a taste yet? I'm a bit behind in organizing the next Lincoln Square Lunch Group outing since lemoneater fled across the pond, but this might be a good bet (even if it requires you to stretch the boundaries of Lincoln Square).

Please, see this post on the main Joong Boo thread.

I tried the Pork and Vegetable Bun, and was quite
    UNDERWHELMED.

Not so much the dough- which was toothsome - yet average in flavor,
    but,
I found the filling was overly imbalanced w/ vegetables and very little meat-
rather neutral in flavor - no one spice or ingredient playing a strong note.....
    Really a "meh" experience.

I really enjoy the Chinese Buns @ Richland Foods on Canal-
    especially The Char Siew Bao-
and am always in search of a good steamed bun (or dumpling ) and as much as I'm a fan
of Joong Boo Market- it's Cafe and it's Kim-Chee Salad Bar-
don't think I'll be driving and dealing with their more than crazy Parking Lot- just for a Steamed bun experience.
