    OK friends Onj4ever puts us at 36ish when we count in our musicians, so I'm going to say that's it so we all have some elbow room in my not so huge house.

    You are welcome to be on "standby" if others drop out.

    i'll be bringing pimento cheese sandwiches, sweet tea, and i'll accept hat hammond's challenge to bring a southern dessert, TBD.

    I am bringing pralines as well which I think qualifies a dessert.

    Hi,

    I was thinking of making a King cake, to improve on the type brought to the dessert exchange: puff pastry with an almond filling.

    I'm going to have to change my dish- Bennison's isn't selling their paczkis until the 24th *sad trombone*

    I'll do something else and let you know!

    ETA: I'm going to make bananas foster cheesecake, and I'm going to attempt fried pickles. I've never deep fried anything on my own before, so we'll see how they turn out.

    Aw, nuts. My wife is at a quilting retreat that weekend but won't be back in time for us to make it Sunday. Bummer. Sorry.

    I made gumbo for the dessert exchange yesterday and it had matzoh balls instead of rice. It was a hit and if it's okay with you irisarbor, I'll make it for your event too.

    I'll have ice, since I'll be icing down beer and cider.
    hopefully the ice maker will be fixed -right now it is playing sorcerer's apprentice- we could actually have LOTS of ice...LOL

    just think of Mickey with bucket of ice- every time we open the freezer...

    We're planning to bring 1 more version of gumbo, if that's ok. This will be only chicken and andouille. We'll also bring ingredients for sazeracs, our favorite New Orleans cocktail. Looking forward to it!
