I am hoping for some suggestions of restaurants that are able to accommodate vegan diner in the range of $70 pp for food . I had heard that Senza was able to accommodate but they informed me that with their current menu they are not able to accommodate. Blackbird and Green Zebra have worked previously. Im not looking for suggestions like Mana or Lao Hunan, which I love but are different experiences from my current quest. From a search of the board I found that Nightwood and Sepia may be accommodating.

    Other Suggestions?

    Thanks

I've found Nightwood to be accommodating with vegan requests. I also once reached out to Big Jones and they said they could accommodate a vegan diner, though that was some years ago.

Here are some other suggestions that I haven't tried personally but may be worth reaching out to:

Boka (I believe they have a vegan entree on the current menu)

    Perennial Virant

Cicchetti (they have a daily vegetarian preparation, so could possibly do vegan)

Taxim (they have lots of vegan small plates and I think might be willing to do a vegan entree)

    Trenchermen

    Embeya

Kinmont (this is a newly opened seafood restaurant, so it may be a longshot. However, I dined there recently and found their vegetarian/vegan side dishes to be outstanding and the management followed up with us after we dined for feedback, so they may be eager to accommodate)

    Nellcote

    The Bristol

    Anteprima

Unite Urban Grill (this place is new and isn't quite as upscale as the other restaurants mentioned, but their menu is already pretty vegetarian-friendly)

You might want to call Vera to see if they could accommodate your guest. Certainly there is a lot of meat and cheese on the menu, but given that cooking in that part of the world leans toward olive oil, the non-meat/cheese dishes may work. Plus, I have friends with allergies and know that they go out of their way to work with allergies.

YMMV. Our last visit to Vera had us seated next to a table where one woman was vegan and gluten-free. The server went back to the kitchen a couple of times to ask about different items. In the end, the pair left as there was really nothing on the menu that worked.

I had a wonderful experience at Vie and they were quite able to feed my vegan friend in a creative and delicious way. We called ahead to check. When we arrived the waiter suggested we let the Chef cook for us and asked about honey preference (as in Yes or No).

Wish I could comment specifically on the food but I did not eat the vegan offerings. My friend was quite happy, however, and we left well fed and felt quite well cared for.
