No Love for Katakana Sushi in Logan Square on r/chicago

I did a search for Katakana here before posting this. Nothing shows up. It's amazing how many first hand stories pop up when people join on a bandwagon. Wonder if that's bad or good?

Not me. I just asked one of my kids who eats sushi/sashimi in restaurants 10 times a month if she'd been there. She said yes once, but was underwhelmed enough not to go back and I've even taught her to try places 3 times if you can over a period of time before dropping the Stay Away Hammer.

Personally for me I'm a Rengai Tei, and Midori kinda guy and tend to stay away from all the "fusion" sushi joints. But....I do like Ruk, here by me on Milwaukee Ave. in Jefferson/Portage Park.

I posted the r/chicago thread because it's unusual for so many people to jump on a reply to a post like that there....

I cannot believe how rapidly/frequently things are opening in Logan Square. It's crazy.
