    LTH,

Please join us in honoring this year's GNR Award recipients at the annual GNR Awards Dinner on Monday April 21 at 6:00 p.m. at 2009 GNR Bar DeVille, located at 701 N. Damen Avenue. The event will celebrate this year's 14 new inductees, and feature foods and beverages from GNR favorites from each of the past 10 years.

    Edzo’s (2011) mini-shakes

    BEVERAGES: (cash bar)
Bar DeVille (2009) Cocktails, Beer, non-alcoholic beverages

    **Cost: $45 (+ cash bar)

**The cost is $45 per person (plus a small fee charged by EventBrite.com). There will be a cash bar throughout the evening, so attendees will have the option of drinking as they prefer. Each attendee will also receive the official 2014 GNR Poster (faithfully compiled by stevez). Tickets are non-refundable but transferable.

The meal, served buffet-style, will begin at at 6:30, with the awards presentation to follow, probably at around 8:00.

Space is limited. Awardees and their nominators will have the right of first refusal on spaces at the banquet. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you are interested in attending, please follow these instructions:

Please post here with the number of people in your party (no more than 2, please). You need not worry about procuring tickets for your nominee, as the GNR Committee will contact all the awardees directly (but if you'd also like to let them know about the banquet, and encourage them to attend, that'd be great). After you post here, we'll send you a PM containing detailed sign-up information and instructions on how to purchase your tickets. These PMs will be sent out in the order in which those requesting tickets have posted on this thread. Your reservations will be confirmed once you pay for your tickets at EventBrite.com, using the link that will be sent to you via PM. Once your tickets are purchased, we will add your name(s) to the 'official' list of attendees, which will be maintained on this thread. Ticket sales will close at 4 pm CT on Saturday April 19 so that we can provide ourselves with a firm head count and enough lead time to inform those on the waiting list (should there be one) whether they can attend or not.

Whether you have nominated a restaurant/resource or not, if you want to attend the dinner, please post here indicating so. Because the there is limited capacity, we don't expect to be able to honor all ticket requests. Due to the space constraints, we also respectfully request that you limit your requests for tickets to no more than 2. Once awardees and successful nominators are taken care of, the remaining ticket requests will be fulfilled in the order in which they are made on this thread. Since we not yet sure how many of the Awardees and nominators will attend, we're not exactly sure where the waiting list will start. Rest assured, though. If you purchase tickets that we cannot honor, your money will be promptly and fully refunded to you (including all fees). If the list should grow that long, we'll do everything possible to make sure that only those with a reasonable possibility of attending will have to purchase in advance.

So, to recap, everyone queues up here, successful nominators will have their ticket requests filled first, everyone else gets their requests filled in the order in which they've posted here. Awardees will be contacted directly, and provided with tickets, by the GNR Committee.

    Other Important Information:

Who can attend: Due to the nature of the venue, this is strictly a 21-and-over event. No one under 21 will be admitted, under any circumstances.

Seating: Bar DeVille is a lounge with lots of casual seating. This will not be a formal, sit-down dinner event. We plan to have plenty of seating available but expect that folks will be courteous, not camp out in their seats all night, and share the seating with the other attendees.

Parking: Bar DeVille is located at the corner of Damen and Huron. Please carpool or use public transportation, as parking in this area is very limited. Street parking is available on Damen and Chicago Avenues, as well as on the side streets west of Damen, south of Superior. Parking is permit-ONLY on the streets east of Damen and most other streets near DeVille.

If you have any questions, please post them here or send me a PM.

We hope you'll join us to celebrate LTHForum.com's newest GNRs. :)

    Thanks!

    Maybe next year!

We have to start planning the meal before the GNRs are finalized, so we don't include places from the current year. But if you can't find something to eat on that menu, there's something wrong with you!

Not sure what that means...They did receive a GNR in case you missed it and will be honored, along with the other new awardees at the event. Hope you can join us!

And we would never include food from the current class of awardees, both because it might appear that we were exchanging one for the other AND because we want them to enjoy the evening as our guests.
