I am hosting the May dessert exchange at my house in Mount Prospect.
I would like to make it a classic tea party, so I will be making small finger sandwiches and salad (Please let me know if you have any food allergies, intolerances, etc.) I propose that everyone try to make something in little bites - cookies, cupcakes, mini cakes or pies, etc. If you don't want to go with the theme, that is fine, bring whatever you would like. As usual bring a couple of containers in which to take your share of dessert home.
I can have up to 12 people -so counting myself and Joel, there is room for 10.

    1. Sue F
    2. Joel F
    3. Cathy2 - Canadian butter tarts
    4. Pie Lady - Chocolate Orange Sponge Rounds or some form of madeleine
    5. Ms Ingie - scones & ?
    6. Irisarbor - shortbread fingers
    7. Helen - bananna eggrolls
    8. Irisarbor Mom - cinnamon coconut muffins
    9. Dobra
    10.
    11.
    12.

    Hi,

I plan to attend. It might happen I have to bow out due to a family issue, but a quick call just now indicated this may work.

Thanks for a lovely tea party theme.

    Regards,
    Cathy2

I love this idea. I will comb through my recipes for a cute addition. I even have a tiny hat to wear...

There is nothing I like better than a tea party. I will break out the floral dress, gloves and requisite hat. What to make? I make lovely scones and will bring if you like. I'll also make a small bite dessert, just have to narrow it down.

I was thinking about making scones, but if you want to bring some, I will try to find some not ultra-pasteurized cream and make some clotted cream to go with them.

    Hi,

I will make Canadian butter tarts. They are like mini pies about an inch in diameter or so.

Si and I was late due to having lost my keys.

I'm stuffed with delicious tea sandiwichs, tea and lots of dessert. Thanks again for hosting SueF, it was a marvelous event.

Thank you to Sue and Joel for hosting such a lovely Afternoon Tea. The weather was perfect and the spread was delectable.

I've got most of the photos, but didn't get all of the ladies in their hats. Would appreciate it if others would post photos that I don't have.
