Ooooooh! If I hadn't already signed up for the Evanston Lunch Group/LTH North lunch that day, I would so be there! :?
    Greek salad and grilled octopus--yes!!!
Let's see--do you think I could make BFM at 11:30 and Northfield at 12:30? sigh.... no, probably not....

Dang! Same for me; I've been wanting to get to the Boston Fish Market but already signed and psyched myself up for the Evanston/North lunch on the 10th.

I would love to go as well, but we have set up the Evanston Lunch Group for that date. Perhaps we need a July lunch is the far west suburbs of Evanston!

FYI - At least four of us who would otherwise have liked to attend can't do so due to the conflict with the joint Evanston-North LTH lunch the same day.

Seems like a great opportunity for organizing another lunch there then! It gives me yet another way to live vicariously through everyone.

I just had dinner there. It was good as ever if not better. One thing to note is that the street is torn up for remodeling. Hopefully they are putting in more parking spots.

Thanks for setting this up Willie. Really had a great lunch. Great ordering; great crowd. I'm very anxious to try the bluegills.

Yes. I agree. Thanks for setting this up Willie. Great ordering, too. I think we had a pretty good cross section of styles.

VI, I only saw the bluegills once in all the times I've been there. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen bluegills being sold commercially ever before. I hope the stars line up for you.

Bluegills show up on rural Midwestern and Southern menus from time to time. Zeke's in Dowagiac MI comes to mind. Same for crappy/croppy. Not like perch or catfish but you see it.

My Pop is doing as well as can be, it was important for me to be at the meeting, so again I apologize for leaving abruptly at 12:30.

Love LTH and the consensus process on ordering! It is such a great way to try a number of items at a reasonable cost, like the zuppa di pesci

    Nice table of 8!

No apologies needed and glad to hear the news. I had to leave a few minutes later myself.

But thanks for organizing Willie - a very nice group of people and some terrific seafood, as usual. I typically try not to fill up on the bread there, but the sauce/soup sitting below all of the seafood in the zuppa di pesci was as sop-worthy as it gets, and a great match for the sesame bread.

Let me just add that the zuppa di pesci would certainly feed 2 people if that's all they ordered (maybe even 3), so keep that in mind when ordering.
