La France in Lombard has been on my radar a long time, I actually tried to go last summer & they were closed for painting renovations. Here is the LTH thread re: La France viewtopic.php?f=14&t=26864

Lately I was hoping that some LTHers could get together for a dinner but found out that La France is no longer open for dinner.

Purpose of this thread at this point is to find out if there are enough LTHers that would be interested in a weekday or weekend lunch at La France, so please post interest (you are not confirming but simply stating that if the date works for you, you'd be interested in lunch). We can all plan a specific date later.

La France is open everyday from 9am-2pm.

So if interested, please post to this thread. All are welcome.

    Cheers,
    Willie

I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be.

    Hi,

If this were a weekend, I could possibly make it.

    Regards,

    Thanks for the feedback Cathy.

I was being selfish by only listing weekdays as I hate lines/waiting and I'm assuming a weekend date will for sure be busy but it would be great to have other LTHers attend, I'll change my OP to reflect this alternate choice.

This is in my neck of the woods. Have been here with Pie Lady. I'd attend if a date was determined.

Life is too short, why skip dessert?

    very good.

In a couple weeks I'll assume anyone interested will have posted to this thread, then a date can be decided upon.

Depending on the date I'd potentially be down for weekend lunch.

ok, I believe that a weekend date will probably work best for most folks.

turkob & nsxtasy, I'll put you both down as interested.

    HI,

If there is a food history program the same day as this lunch, I will not be able to make it. In June, this will be the 7th and 28th. If you go those days due to others availability, I will be fine.

IF you know of several dates that work from your side, you might want to do a doodle.com to figure out what works best for most.

    Thank you!

    Regards,
    Cathy2

Will Doodle a bit later, now is just gathering those who would be interested in attending. I realize that normally setting a date is just best but feel that this restaurant deserves a different approach due to time it is open as well as it's location.
