I have a friend who is vegan, could you accommodate her?

Lol. Of course, bad joke. Teresa and I will be at this dinner, eating lots of meat.

    Gary's a mensch. He'd find a way but frankly, I'm relieved! :)

(still hoping B&C starts offering these meals without the pairings. even if I enjoyed beer [I don't at all], I never drink that much in one night)

I'm not much of a drinker, either, but I've always found the price of the Pitmaster Diners to be reasonable enough that I just don't drink the alcohol (if I want something more than water, I request a Coke or something non-alcoholic to drink) and still feel like I'm getting a ton of good food for the money. It's more than worth the price.

Totally agree, at the last one smokehouse-steakhouse the steak alone was worth the price of admission. It was ridiculously huge and ridiculously delicious! I bet if you sign up Gary would sneak you a fancy soda from their fancy soda collection.

P.S. I'll make sure your beers don't go to waste.

I was thinking of ways to accommodate, though straight-up vegan is difficult at Barn & Co as they will not eat even mac and cheese. Happy to hear its was a joke.

Far as beer/wine/liquor pairings, I will happily offer sodas from our cane sugar soda collection in place.

Agreed. Everything was tasty but the burnt ends and the spare ribs were over-the-top sensational.

Oh yes. St. Louis style spare ribs with Texas Toast. #bbqporn #toastporn

BTW for anyone still wondering about the value of the Pitmaster dinners, this was the FIRST platter for FOUR people. For every course, Gary and Barn & Company servers THEN came around with even MORE platters, just in case anyone needed more food. And yes, doggy bags / boxes are offered and used.

Happy to hear everyone enjoyed the Kansas City Pitmaster dinner, especially the burnt ends and spare ribs. Burnt ends, at least for the near future, are a Saturday night special at Barn & Company. Limited portions, we run out fairly early.

Was terrific to have LTHers in the house, including this smiling trio.
