Has anyone ever been to Vietnam Little Home Restaurant? A buddy wants to go there and he swears it's the best. I'm a bit skeptical of his food tastes.

I'm not 100% sure about this, so you need to double check, but I think that restaurant closed down 2 - 3 years ago and is now a Thai place.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to ask my buddy when the last time he was there.

I think you're right stevez. I googled it and it's been closed for two years. What's the name of the Thai place?

I can't remember the name of the Thai place, but a bunch of us went there once and it was not memorable at all. If you're looking for Thai in that area, I suggest going to Spoon on Western.

Sad to hear about Vietnam Little Home. That was the site of my first Vietnamese meal. Wonderful family cooking and serving and stuffed chicken drumsticks that I have yet to see elsewhere. The girls working there were also working on college degrees at the time, so I suppose it was only a matter of time before they moved on. It was a lovely place though.

    Hi,

I did a search on this website using only the numbers of the address to find an Erik M translated menu for Aroy Thai at their former location.

My reifying .02: VLH has definitely been closed for several years. The Thai spot that opened up in it's place doesn't look too promising. Who knows? We used to patronize VLH for a single dish; yummy sausage-stuffed squid.

can't say I know anything about VLH, but yum thai in forest park does a nice sausege stuffed squid. It's on the regular menu, not the translated one. I prefer the sweetish sauce on the side rather than doused liberally on top.
