While driving down Central recently I noticed a new spot next to, and apparently owned by, Suparossa. Looks upscale and menu looks good. Just wondering iif anyone's been. We'll probably stop there soon but it looks a bit too upscale for the neighborhood (Portage aside):

We had one dinner there so far. It was decent "neighborhood" Italian with higher aspirations than a simple red sauce joint. I'd need to visit a couple more ties before being able to post a definitive review.

I've been a couple of times now. I didn't get to dine there when it was still Suparossa. They're definitely trying, and I remember being very impressed with their grilled cauliflower & brussel sprouts. I also had a special the first time, but for the life of me, I can't remember what it was. I remember enjoying it tho.

I've wanted to try their pizza, but with Forno Rosso close by, it's hard to justify.

They also just recently announced they're open for brunch on Sundays (something the neighborhood desperately needs, IMHO).

BTW, being too upscale...you'd be surprised at the money in the adjoining neighborhood to the east. Quite a few bungalows that are in AMAZING condition. With the crowds at Leadbelly and The Portage, as well as the run on Glazed & Infused doughnuts now delivered to Portage Grounds on weekends, it's pretty clear that the market is changing fast up here.
