Hi- Food Fighters is a new cooking show premiering on NBC tomorrow night 7/22 at 7:00pm. It is hosted by Adam Richman of Man v. Food fame, and each week a home cook competes with a celebrity chef. It should be interesting. Hope this helps, Nancy

Hi- I thought the show was interesting. One home chef competes with five different professional chefs. The home chef won four out of the five cookoffs. In one of the cookoffs she picked a tart to prepare, and the professional that she competed against, was a seafood chef, and never did pastry. Then at the end of each cookoff, each of the five judges sampled the two competing dishes, and each voted on which one they liked the best. The amateur chef won $60,000 tonight. BTW- AT&T has a new commercial out with Gordon Ramsey, who just premiered the second season of Hotel Hell last night.

Hi- Has anybody been watching this program this season. Last week they had a 14 year old kid competing against the professional chefs. The kid only won $20,000 that evening, but he was also given an all inclusive scholarship to the CIA culinary school, and one of the celebrity chefs gave him one of his cooking tools. Apparently this kid appeared on Master Chef Junior a few years ago, and finished in the top five. I think there is going to be a twelve year old girl competing later this summer on the program.

On the latest show, the contestant won $70,000, and one of the dishes she made was smores, but they did not have marshmallows in the kitchen, and so both she and the professional chef had to make their own marshmallow cream. The amateur won in that competition because the professional chef could not find the graham crackers in the kitchen, and had to substitute something else for them. Hope this helps, Nancy

Watched an episode-home cook trying to win money to fund her parents' retirement-lots of tears etc. She won some big bucks Best part of the show was Nadia from Bitchen Kitchen-for some reason she cracks me up and I have not seen her since we gave up cable years ago. Doubt I will watch it again.
