Orsi's Italian Ice is opening for the season at 3pm today. It's in The Alley lot on Green Bay Road on the south end of Highwood. This is their second year of operation. I'm not an Italian ice expert *and* I'm friends with the owners, so I will recuse myself from any reviews. I do like the watermelon, though!

Tried them last season. Quality is quite decent, almost up to Mario's level, lots of great flavors. That said, they're ridiculously over priced for the size of the serving. I remember thinking, OK, you got me this time, but never again. Surprised that they're still a viable business and around this year, actually.

I've been looking for an ice stand in the north suburbs ever since Annette's in Glenview closed. Will definitely have to try Orsi's. I hear they've moved into the Highwood Train Station.
