It is with great sadness that, after 25 years, we announce the closing of Food Arts magazine. We have loved working with everyone in the food industry—our writers, photographers, chefs, restaurateurs, hoteliers, and everyone else we’ve raised a glass with along the way. Thank you for all of your loyalty and support throughout the years. We wish you all the very best. Keep the kitchen fires burning!

Wow, what a shock. In 1989-90 I was the chef and f&b director of the Sunset Marquis in Los Angeles. Many came to my door offering us things, Harney Teas for one- who turned me onto Lapsang Souchong to poach salmon in. The Batterberry's also came w/their new magazine Food Arts. They gave me a comp subscription and I've gotten every issue since. During these recent rains, I came upon a box in my basement filled with yrs of those early issues, a cut to the chase of what was new and relevant in the industry. They managed to maintain the highest integrity through out the years. A huge loss.
