Sometime's a dish so distinctive just sticks in your brain- to the point that-
even thought the Diner that served that dish, is now long gone- you will still-search high
& low for a suitably similar plate of yummm!
Such is the case with Patty's Ham hash. (more precisely- Patty's Ham-Off-Bone-hash- with 2 sunny-side up eggs atop!)

    I think- I've come close.....

The Waitress at the counter assured me the Grill Man was fine- in fact PERFECT for a special request.
Going off-menu, can fluster many a short order grill man.
So- I asked for Ham-off-the-Bone (which they advertised, and is what drew me inside- originally) grilled w/ some
well done- Hashbrowns- sitting on the grill-mans grill.....and gently slide some sunnyside eggs atop.
    Well?
    Pretty good.
Close- almost there- needed some Black Pepper- some onions- and some of Patty's "secret spice mix"- but- man- what a plate
    of yummmmmm for $5.45!
Trust me- I will be back- Very Soon-
with a small bottle of Tony Chacherie's Spice Mix for him to keep....
and see if Mr. Grill man- can take me back.......
back to that memorable dish of yummmmm....

Sounds good and brings back great memories. Now just work one more piece of Patty's magic and get him to put the gravy from biscuits and gravy over the plate. My go-to order at Patty's was the ham hash with eggs over medium and gravy "over the whole thing". Oh, and Patty's house-baked bread toasted. Mmmm, memories.
Objects in mirror appear to be losing.
