My parents do not like driving anymore, so I offered that we go to a restaurant near them at Thanksgiving. The day I'll be seeing them is up in the air.

I could use ideas for a place that is open on Thanksgiving Day, mid-day, for $15 per person or less, preferably. Nothing fancy, but nice. They live in Downers Grove, smack in the middle of Woodridge and Darien.

Are there any places that would also still serve the traditional T-Day meal for the entire weekend, not just Thursday?

    Thank you!

I'm sorry, you ask for Southwest Suburbs, but mention the parents don't like to drive and list Downers, which is Western suburbs, so I'm confused.

Anyway, if you can up it $10 to $25, why not Chucks in Darien?

They do not appear to serve it all weekend, but Thursday TDay is ONLY TDay buffet, no regular menu, open 12-5

I can't really think of too much else in that immediate vicinity

I guess I just saw Downers Grove as SW, but I see your point, so I changed it above.

I suspect - http://www.omegadownersgrove.com/ - might work for you. A phone call to confirm Thanksgiving Day options would be a good idea.

If you're willing to drive just a little bit a few of the places in Yorktown and Oakbrook Center appear to serve Thanksgiving dinner.

For roughly $20/person ( I assumed your $15/person was sans tax and tip) you don't want to just order Thanksgiving and the fixings from a grocer/restaurant to be served at your parents?

There's really not a place to eat at their house, or that would be nice. Plus, there's cleanup.

Carlucci's in Downers grove on Butterfield Rd is doing Thankgiving but its a bit more than you indicated you wanted to pay. I think its going to be tough to get a thankgiving dinner at that price point.
