Seemed pretty straight forward to me. I'm looking for wide mouth quart mason jars. I tried Sunset, Garden Fresh and Jewel: HP. Also tried Mutual and Craftwood hardware and Target. Not sure where else to look. Any suggestions?

Menards might be worth a try. I'm not sure if the specific size you are looking for is what makes them hard to find, but Menard's is where I've bought canning supplies in the past. Don't be fooled into thinking they would be near the kitchen/food stuff, they are usually in the broom/mop section (closet supplies.) I'd also check at Ace Hardwares. I check my Ace first before heading to the Menards. I friggin cannot stand stepping foot into Menards.

I've seen them at a lot of places: Ace, Target, Amazon, as others have mentioned. If you want to buy locally, I'd just call whatever big box place is closest to you. Many store websites indicate what products they stock. i.e. see Target's page: http://www.target.com/p/kerr-1-quart-32 ... mason+jars. They seem to be available in most stores, but not the HP one.

Tons of places have them--but there are a dozen or more different sizes (jar and mouth) and styles. At this time of year, particularly, looking for something specific like wide-mouth quarts can be challenging.
