Who would of thunk it. :) This place has an interesting variety of specialty (topped) hot dogs (see attached menu).

Stopped by for my maiden visit today and tried their signature dog, The Joint Dog and a Chili Cheese Dog. Surprisingly the coleslaw worked well with the chili and it was a messy sandwich but I managed to keep most of the innards inside.

Mentioning to the gal working the counter (niece of the owner?) that a Coney Dog should have chili on it and she incorrectly mentioned that is how that do it in New York. Maybe for a NY street dog. :) Didn't argue but if the owner was there...

The food is solid. My friend had the Jumbo dog and it was topped with nice fresh toppings. Rich red tomatoes.

Their jumbo dog is Red Hot Chicago, the regular dog sourced locally (dang! I forgot the name) and she did not know the others.

Today they had a BOGO on their regular hotdog $2.

I am looking forward to trying many of their offerings.

Rolled in here a few days ago for some dogs - was in search of a Mother-In-Law near Burr Ridge and while reading up on the spot saw that Panther had been in for a visit back in 2013 -

Always into excess I couldnt stop at a Mother-In-Law, had to take it up a level to the Father-In-Law(tamale, hot dog, chili, cheese, onions):

sloppy mess, over the top, and definitely needed the fork - overall just ok, glad I tried it and ill be back to try the scaled down Mother-in-Law

2nd dog of choice was the Alabama Slaw dog(jumbo dog, mustard, onion, chili, cole slaw):

dug this dog, always love a good chili-slaw dog and this one hit the spot. - though not sure if I am not better off doing what I usually do when wanting a chili slaw dog - go to portillos, order a chili dog and get a side of cole slaw and make my own.

If I ordered a half smoke and was served a brat, I would be awfully upset.
