    Hi all,

I was thinking it might be nice to help fend off the winter blues by getting together for some socializing and late afternoon cocktails at the corner bar - the one at Armitage and Kedzie, to be precise.

We can meet up at around 5:30, have a few libations and some nibbles, and if the mood strikes us, head out for dinner somewhere nearby after that. If a more set dinner plan comes together before then, so be it but we can easily play it by ear. There's certainly no need to 'reserve' a spot but if you plan on coming, please post here, just so we have a general idea of how many people will be joining in.

    Thanks!

Bummer. When I saw that you'd posted, I was excited because I assumed it meant you were coming. I had no idea about the EHC and I'm very sorry to learn you're already booked that night. :(

It was just random chance when I chose the night.

    Hey everyone,

Danny tells me that they're working on a special Winter Punch-type cocktail for our event, which should be very cool. If you're on the fence, please consider dropping by on Thursday.

In the meantime, here are a couple of pics to hold you over . . .

I can't make the happy hour, but I'd join at Analogue afterwards for dinner. It's on my short list, and nearby..

If dinner is still undecided, that's my nomination

As much as I love Analogue, it's not really the kind of place you can walk into on a Thursday evening with 10+ people. It's fairly small and a group that size would probably not be a good fit. Also, as far as I know, the fried chicken dinner is still only offered there on Tuesday nights, so it won't be available on Thursday. Though, the fried chicken sandwich -- and those biscuits -- are always on the menu.

If there's a meal to follow this happy hour, I think it will end up being a game-time decision made at Scofflaw. Once that's decided upon, hopefully one of us will remember to update the thread and let everyone know where we're going to be! :)
