Since our last meeting was so well attended, I was thinking we should do another one -- this time in the north-easterly area; Evanston. So, let's meet up at Ward 8 on Thursday 2/12 @ 5:30.
Again, we can have some cocktails and some snacks at the bar and maybe even a meal somewhere nearby afterwards. There are plenty of decent options close by. We can leave that part open -- or if someone wants to take the lead on that in advance, great.
Again, there's no need to 'reserve' a spot but if you plan on coming, please post here, just so we have a general idea of how many people will be joining in. And if anyone does end up taking the lead on a dinner portion of the evening, perhaps they'll want to keep more firm headcount for that portion of the evening.

My goal is to switch up the geography each time. I realize that it won't be convenient for everyone to attend each and every time but hopefully, each location will work out for a decent number of folks.

It's no longer in my regular rotation, but I love it and I'd be happy to come back for a visit. In other words in.For what we choose is what we are. Post #17 - February 14th, 2015, 11:42 amThanks, to everyone who came out the other night. 13 of us had a very enjoyable evening at Ward 8. Cody, Anders and Chef Pedro could not have been more accomodating -- they even sent out a very nice platter of charcuterie, cheese and snacks for us. The drinks and food were excellent across the board. I just cannot get enough of that Dead Meadow -- I love the way the walnut and bourbon work together.
We arranged some of the furniture in the corner so our entire group could sit in one cozy circle. That made for some great conversation. After the happy hour, 7 of us went over to Taste of Trinidad and had dinner. I'll try to post about that on the other thread.
