    HI,

First thought, which you will readily reject: Felony Franks in Oak Park. It is a hot dog stand where former felons are the employees. It does begin with an 'F.'

The Francesca's chain has not yet been mentioned. Neither has the Florentine, in the Loop.

You can view 65 Chicago-area Opentable restaurants starting with F (17 of which are Francesca's locations). These are on pages 3-4 if you display all 1079 Opentable restaurants in the Chicago/Illinois area (their website does not let you link directly to those pages, unfortunately).

There's actually a website listing Chicago-area restaurants whose names start with F, although it seems rather obsolete (it includes the long-gone Fonda del Mar).

Fun fact: in the alphabetical list of GNR's, there are none whose names start with I, Q, U, W, Y, or Z.

(Of the ones already mentioned above, I'd choose Found, for its food as well as its geographical convenience to the entire area you state.)

Just had dinner at Found for the first time, and was not impressed. Service was great, but the food (bacon/leek flatbread, lamb meatballs, chicken wings, pork belly sandwich and "pork shoulder" sandwich) was all meh. The pork was not pork shoulder, but more of a loin type cut, and both the wings and the pork had an "off-not-quite-fresh" taste. The wings would have been great if the meat was better - they were fried great and the sauce was good.

Oh wait, don't they have a day when they are closed? Maybe that was the day I drove by and saw the lights off coupled with the announcement of big changes going on there. May try to go there tomorrow!

According to their website, they are closed Mondays. (These are labeled as "winter hours" so perhaps that's not true year round.)

I'm assuming it needs to be a capital "F"?
