One of the newest additions to one of the ten best downtowns among all cities in the nation is Tsim Sha Tsui Café. The restaurant features Asian hot pots, and based on our one visit, it's something different for Evanston, and well worth visiting. A few details about our visit.

The only downside? Depending on our numbers, we may have to split up the group. Since the tables are hard-wired with hot plates built into the surface, they can't be moved.

    Tsim Sha Tsui Café
    1627 Chicago Ave
    Evanston, IL 60201
between Davis St & Church St
or, using true LTH-speak, it's between Found Social Kitchen and Tapas Barcelona

Thanks to Robert of The French Couple for the suggestion. Hope to see you there!

I've never done hotpot, so I'd like to join you, but it's too early for me to be able to really confirm.

Bump! Still room for a few more. This is definitely a place where multi-person ordering power will be a huge benefit. I'm thinking everyone will order their own soup/broth hot pot, and then we'll get a large bunch of additions to share, so we can add a bit of each to our individual hot pots.

For anyone who hasn't signed up yet, let me know you'll be joining us, so I can warn them ahead of time that a reasonably good-sized group will be coming in.

    Tom,
Would it be a problem if we scheduled the Trinidad lunch for April 29? Thanks,
    Robert

This made me smile simply because Tsim Sha Tsui was my stop on the subway during my first stay in Hong Kong. I wouldn't have been able to join you, even if I'd seen this in time, but I still appreciate the post, as now I know about it. Was the hotpot good?
