Come join the next LTH Happy Hour for some...

Zapiekanka with spicy ketchup that may actually make you change your mind about putting ketchup on a french bread pizza, or a freshly tapped Zywiec, with or without raspberry syrup, or country pizza with kielbasa and hard boiled eggs, or Chicago's best pierogi, Alexandra’s which happens to be coming in fresh from next door.

For the adventurous, we could make an after-party trip over to "Tasty Polish Food", just a hop, skip, and jump away, where we can explore the even more bizarre Polish street food offerings.

I'm looking forward to Thursday! There is probably room for a few more, and you don't have to make it right at 5:30 to commit, just pop in anytime between those hours!

I'm in although I'm not guaranteeing I'll eat the zapiekanka.

Awesome! I'll be glad to see you, but I'm going to insist you eat a bite of zapiekanka. Come on, it's garlic bread with pizza toppings, how bad could it be?

FYI, i know a few people are going to be later due to work. If it is of concern to anyone, I'm anticipating we'll be there until at least 8, if not longer.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I hope to stop by on the later side tonight but at this point, it's not looking too good. :(

okay okay, so maybe the Zapiekanka wasn't great this time around, but the Kapitanski and Pyzy sealed the deal for a return visit. Thanks to Laikom for organizing, and thanks to all that showed up.

Can't get over how really cool the new space looks--they expanded into the storefront next door and it's a very warm, attractive room. This isn't kitsch-it's a truly nice place to go for drinks, bar snacks and pool. Service was great--food was satisfying. Thanks for organizing Laikom.

Teresa and I were a little late and we were worried we might miss the eats, but we were in time for the main event and pool. I really liked this place even if it was an off night for the zapiekanka, I often find Polish food too heavy, but the pierogi, the cutlet, the soup and the glutenous meat filled thing were soooo....good. The gratis whipped lard with bacon bits still in it with accompanying bread was too rich for me although I remember Irish relatives devouring something similar. I can see going back for beer, pool and snacks. Excellent evening laikom.
