I just discovered there is such a thing called cotton candy grapes - actual Green Grapes that taste like cotton candy. I was curious is anyone has seen these sold locally in Chicago or surrounding suburbs? Or has anyone actually tried this variety of Frankenstein grapes?

Saw them a year or two ago; there was a little buzz in the media then. Never bought them. Just wrote it off as a novelty like the Grapple, but these aren't flavored, just a hybrid.

Haven't tried them but saw them for sale (a bit expensive) at Fresh Farms in Niles last night.

Thank you for the tip... I live close by to Fresh Farms and stopped by tonight. $3.99/LB is a bit much but I wanted to try these cotton Candy Grapes out. They definitely do taste different than normal sweet or sour grapes... These grapes have cotton candy/sugar like taste to them which I can see someone might find addictive. The big issue is $4/LB seems a bit too much, but for the novelty of trying something new I would suggest this to all foodies to try these once! :)
