Hi- I know there are a few people who live in the area and might be interested in attending. Jill Cataldo will be doing her Supercouponing program at the Niles Public Library tonight 6/17 starting at 7:00pm. She has a website that I visit fairly frequently The library is at 6960 Oakton right by Waukegan, and so you can stop in at hmart after the program, which ends at 8:30. Jill advocates that people save all of their coupon supplements that they get in the Sunday paper, and only cut out the coupons you will be needing that week. This is so you don't have to spend hours cutting out coupons that you might or might not need, and organizing them. Hope to see a few people over there tonight, Nancy

    Hi,

I have seen these super coupon people in stores. It's almost like the store pays them to leave. :D

    I might just come.

    Regards,

    Hi Nancy,

Thanks for advising this event. I attended and learned a few new tricks, which always makes anything worthwhile.

I will keep an eye out for part two.

    Again, thanks!

    Regards,
    Cathy2

Hi Cathy- I was there tonight myself, and I saw somebody that kind of looked familiar, and maybe it was you. I knew 90% of what Jill was talking about tonight, but my friend Joan who I brought to the picnic a few years ago, also attended with me tonight, and did not know any of this. I said hello to Jill before I left, and she said that I had not posted on her site in a while, and I said it was all because of the new web design. Her site was way too busy for me. She told me tonight that the companies that pay her to run their ads, like it that way, and that is why the website was so glitzy. She found out that her new website was not compatible with the older IPads that a lot of her visitors were using. When she approached the guy that helped her design and set up the new website about this problem, he told her that she was on her own. Now she is starting over from scratch, and she has a new programmer helping her work out the kinks.

After the program was over, my friend and I went to hmart, where she had a hard time deciding what kimchee to buy.

    HI,

I really had no plans to leave home last night. I had already discussed with the family what to have for dinner. I saw your post and pretty much left them in the dust.

It was interesting the strategy. I was impressed she wasn't buying the place out, rather it was for a few months at a time. Another friend's daughter has gone deep into super couponing where her basement storage seems like a store.

When I go to Costco to buy the big bags of toilet paper and paper towels, I am certainly not addressing immediate needs, either.

If you had not mentioned Jill's name or referenced her site so often, I might not have been so curious.

The travel tips program featured next week is by Cynthia Clampitt, who posts here as Cynthia.

Again, thanks for the mention. Afterwards, I went over to Jerry's to pick up bananas. I then met a friend over at the new Pita Inn. It was an unexpectedly social evening for a night with no particular plans.

    Regards,
    Cathy2
