Bangkok Wok, a small Thai restaurant at
3146 W. Touhy Ave in Chicago, that opened during the summer of 2012 has apparently closed its doors. The windows have been covered with brown paper for the last 3 weeks.
It was an unpretentious place in a small ugly strip mall, but the modest and clean settings and decor had a certain charm. The food, although more American-Thai and lacking any authentic aromas and flavors of the kind that you would find at Rainbow or Sticky Rice, was edible especially for a fast lunch or carry-out.
But for some mysterious reasons, both the quality of the food preparation and the service had seriously declined aver the last year and the restaurant looked often empty.
