Were there any LTHers at Ba Le yesterday afternoon? When I came in for my regular Sunday steamed pork roll & pate banh mi, the lone table was occupied by a group of 8-9 people sharing and discussing a gigantic spread of different items in true Internet-foodie style.

Also, does Ba Le really have bouncers now? I just assumed the 2 large men with black suits and sunglasses were customers waiting quietly for a banh mi - but 15 minutes later, they were still standing at the door, and they hadn't said a word.

    Hi,

I don't know of any, but there are many informal meetings. They could have also been e-Gullet, Chowhound or someone who reads these boards and hooks their friends into a tasting experience. I also know a woman who will meet you on Argyle and give you a personal tour for you or a small group for a fee. Too bad you didn't introduce yourself, I'd love to know who they were!

My all time favorite story about an LTH'r bumping into someone like us who's still in denial.

You're lucky though, you've found your tribe in us!

    Regards,
