ISO a great raw bar outside Chicago. We love the oysters, etc. at Shaw's in the city, especially the more casual feel of the bar area. But alas, no time to venture downtown. Somewhere between the Western Suburbs and the city is ideal. Would prefer something new to us as we always end up at one of the Shaw's, Chinn's or Hugo's. Anything out there we're missing?

Not exactly out by the Western 'burbs, but Evanston's Davis Street Fishmarket is a decent raw bar outside Chicago's city limits. Guess what street in Evanston it's on.

Poor Phil's in Oak Park has a great selection of oysters and beers.

I'll echo Davis St but we haven't been there in quite a while.
They used to have a special of a dozen Cherry Stones and a quart of beer.
I'm sure if they still have ti, the price has changed.-Richard
