Suburban Jew checking in. The last few years, my tradition has been Chinese with my parents Christmas eve, and chinese again christmas day with my friends. We've been doing Moon Palace for years, but we want Dim Sum tonight. Is there anywhere else to go for Dim Sum other than Ming Hing? We were encouraged to try Royal Buffet in Hoffman Estates...but the idea of a Buffet does not generally excite me. Anyone have advice?

In Chinatown, you might consider Lao Yu Jou, although there have been reports of a change in ownership, Phoenix or newcomer Dolo.

Besides traditional daytime dim sum, Ming Hin also does it every nite from 9 pm - close

The new Ming Hin location in Lakeshore East does dim sum all day.
Objects in mirror appear to be losing.

Thanks all for the replies! We've been to the original Ming Hin a bunch and wanted to try something new. We're going to test the Royal Buffet in Hoffman Estates...it comes highly recommended by friends and the internets....although I'm very apprehensive. Will update later!
