Mesa Urbana - Northbrook

Mesa Urbana is opening on Milwaukee at the junction of Glenview and Northbrook (their address is Northbrook, but the mayor of Glenview is coming to their ribbon-cutting according to their web page). The location is the former Captain's Quarters.

Looks like they're shooting for upscale: entrees are $15-23, taco platters $11-14. Menu looks quite interesting, including mussels in chipotle cream, quesadilla de huitlacoche, rack of lamb with tomato confit, etc. I'd be happy to see them succeed, although it's hard to compete with the cheap-but-really-good Mex in the area.

The sign outside says they're open except Monday at 5PM (lunch/brunch soon).
