    The American West – a region of natural beauty and sharp contrast that has been the home of Native Americans, cowboys, rugged pioneers, and miners – has had a profound effect on America’s culinary heritage.
    Please join Public Television Chef, cookbook and lifestyle author, and registered nurse, Christy Rost as she shares the multicultural culinary perspective and environmental influences in the American West. (Think: Grilled Bison New York Strip Steaks with Ancho Glaze, Grilled Southwest Chicken Breasts with Cilantro Pesto, and Quail with White Beans.)

    Biography:
    For 12 years Chef Christy Rost has hosted and produced her Texas television cooking and lifestyle show. In addition, her expertise in cooking, decorating, and celebrating home and family has been featured nationwide since 2009 on PBS and Create TV in her one-hour Holiday production, A Home for Christy Rost: Thanksgiving. Christy is the author of three books: The Family Table; Where's My Spatula?, and her latest book, Celebrating Home: A Handbook for Gracious Living (Bright Sky Press). The book showcases recipes, seasonal table settings, helpful serving suggestions, all from the vantage point of her recently restored, 1898 historic mountain home in Breckenridge, Colorado.
