Ended up at Karl Ratzsch. My brother and I split the duck breast, the crackling pork shank, and the sauerbraten. The shank was the strongest dish and very good with crispy, salty skin and nice succulent, sticky pockets of pork fat. Unfortunately I can't recommend the sauerbraten, it's just not very good.
All in all not a bad dinner but I would have preferred a more traditional approach; Mader's next time...
