Burger King's new Mac n' Cheetos: Cheetos(R)-powder-dusted mozzarella sticks filled with deep-fried mac & cheese. Mmmmmmmm. Currently only available in SoCal, but hopefully ...

    Hi,

Years ago, I suggested to Gus at Wiener and Still Champion (RIP) about rolling his corn dogs in a cheese powder like Doritos or Cheese Doodles. He checked into it and found this cheese powder was too expensive for this application.

So sorry this BK item is not in our area. It was something I would at least try once.

    Regards,

I'm thinking they expect you to roll something else before enjoying these.

Nah. Sober and yet nostalgic for kidhood twists sounds perfect to me. I do hope to try these very soon. Weird they don't sound gross to me. Holding my expectations down due to the mac & cheese interior. I am picky about mac and cheese.

    Hi,

I stopped by BK this evening to check this out. Five pieces for $2.50 is an inconvenient count if you wish to share.

They looked like Cheetos on steroids. I didn't try them right away, so they might have been crunchier had I got to them faster.

Eating them was something you experience quickly, then it is gone. You wonder should you buy more or just let it be. I left before I could really give it a lot of consideration.

    Regards,
    Cathy2

My son picked up an order of these the other day and he was 'nice enough' to share them with us . . . bottom line, there's nothing to see here.

Took my teenage daughters yesterday and all three of us felt like they were ok but not as good as a real cheeto. definitely not worth going out of your way for. the manager said they had been selling them for a week and that sales have been much higher than expected.
