The July meeting of the LTH North Lunch Group shall convene at:

    Ruby of Siam
    1849 2nd St.
    Highland Park, IL 60035
    (847) 433-9332

PSA - rather than driving around in circles in the area looking for parking, set your GPS to 1849 Green Bay Road and park for free in the underground garage of Renaissance Place.

The HP branch is on my regular dinner rotation. Except for a service issue during their first week of service, I've been very happy to have good thai food in my 'hood.

All are welcome to join me on the 27th. No membership card required. As always, bring a friend.

it's too far for me to go to join you, but i wanted to mention that i had a delicious dinner there recently. i dont know how authentic my choice was, but i had the fried chicken with lime sauce and shredded collard greens. it was definitely on the sweet side, but i liked it so much, i got another order to go.....

Thanks not only for organizing this, Dave148, but also for including the tip on the hidden parking lot. Sign posting in town tends to favor city lots, rather than the big underground lot. I would never have found it without your comment -- but now I know I'll never have to worry about finding parking in that area again.

The food was very good. We all decided to order off of the $11.99 set lunch menu. You get a choice of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. There was plenty of food to go around. I believe a few containers to go were requested.

Service was very good. Though, we were only one of three tables occupied during the time we were there.

EC was also recognized as being more or less consistent in scheduling our meetings. 8)

I'm counting on you to keep me updated on the construction at Yu's Mandarin. 8)

It's been years since I was at the Skokie location, but they used to have a lunch buffet. Is that not the case at this location? (and does skokie still have one?)

Glad to hear you all enjoyed the food and service, since I'm still hoping to get there for my first time sometime soon.

I check Yu's Mandarin every time I go by. Still "Coming Soon."
