Being that this piece is from ARTNEWS, it's interesting to me how food-centric it is. Fascinating, and more than a bit sad. And a little catty here and there.

LAST CALL: A 15-hour day at the auction of pieces of a New York landmark.

New Yorkers love their Seagrams Building and the restaurant inside. I used to work in the building for some months a few years back and received lectures from the locals about the importance of the building, the Four Seasons, and the furnishings. It is a nice Miesian structure with his and Saarinen's chairs, like every third building in Chicago.
