A good portion of Chicago Magazine's readership is suburbanites whose only access to donuts IS Dunkin' Donuts.
They may not know diddly about poke and ramen, so they probably don't cast votes in those categories. This also explains why Portillo's is the single biggest vote getter in the hot dog category.

Is that actually true? I've been under the impression that most LTHers live in the city, with a smaller contingent on the North Shore, and various other suburbs. Come to think of it, it would be interesting to know, for no more pressing reason than idle curiosity.
