There are plenty of new options for lunch in Evanston (and even more for dinner). For October, we’ll be trying one of the newest restaurants to open, Ya Hala Inn, a Lebanese/Palestinian restaurant in the old Dixie Kitchen space. Join us for kebabs, pita, and other edible stuff Monday October 17 at 12:00 pm (1/2 hour earlier than usual).

    Ya Hala Inn
    825 Church St

(about a block east and north of the Davis Street station at the Metra and Purple line 'L' stops)
    Evanston, IL 60201

I plan to join you, but I might be a little late depending on downtown traffic.
Toast, as every breakfaster knows, isn't really about the quality of the bread or how it's sliced or even the toaster. For man cannot live by toast alone. It's all about the butter. -- Adam Gopnik

We are both planning to be there. However, I have a PhD defense scheduled at 2, so we will have to leave around 1:30.

I wouldn't object if we started at 12:00.

Regret I won't be able to join you, but I was at Ya Hala yesterday and posted about it:

I'm sure you'll all enjoy it.
