Has anyone seen these in a store? I've got a recipe which calls for them, and the ingredients that are used with it are Asian, so I thought I'd find them at H-Mart, but no such luck. Turns out they're pure English, pickled unripe nuts.

I can order them from the big river, but I'd be happy picking them up locally. It's not a rush, I won't need them for a couple weeks.

For $10 (delivered) with Prime it hardly seems worth the aggravation of the hunt.

Sometimes the hunt is the point.

    Hi,

In the past, I have seen pickled walnuts in stores catering to Eastern Europeans. Are these prepared in way an Englishman would recognize, I have no idea.

    Good luck with the hunt!
