Thanks to kalamazoogal I have Christina Tosi's Crack Pie cooling right now. I have already thought of a slight change to the base so let me see how it goes before I commit to an offering.

Me too please! Not exactly sure what I'm making. Maybe chocolate mochi if the recipe works.

Sorry, I hate to do this again, but can you take me off the wait list? Craziness happened and I've been terrible with planning. I have a deadline at 7pm and I'm the type that works until 6:58 and panics for 2 minutes hoping everything went through. I hope to be back in July.

Happy Monday! Looking forward to a great gathering on Sunday with this group. My sister Sylvia is going to make a Strawberry Pompidou torte that showed up in Food&Wine in the 80s in an article on Designer Desserts. It is as delicious as it is beautiful.
I will be bringing a recipe from Mindy's Segal (Hot Chocolate) - Coffee Shortbread sandwich cookies with Gianduja cream filling and crushed toffee.

Everything sounds wonderful. I'm thinking of doing brownies again, but this time the rye brownies from Claire Ptak's Violet Bakery Cookbook. Either that or the rye chocolate chip cookies from the current issue of Milk Street. Baking with rye flour is appealing to me for some reason.

I made the Milk Street inspired by Ptak chocolate and prune cake to rave reviews.

I have also made the Milk Street rye chocolate chip cookies also probably inspired by their visit with her but they don't say that twice in a week. Time to re-order a 25 lb bag of sugar at this rate.
