Global Kitchen Restaurant

Saw an ad in The South Shopper for Global Kitchen Restaurant-1172 S. Western Ave Chicago (773)233-7600. Its motto "The kitchen that takes you around the world", has specialty rooms featuring an array of art and sculpture collected by the owner that represents the different theme of each room. The rooms are Mexico, Asia, South Africa, Paris and "Johnathan". The food is self described as "Delicious comfort food cooked daily". Anyone traveled here?

There's a DNA Info article about it. Couldn't find a website, but there appears to be a Facebook page. Global Kitchen is at 11722 S. Western Ave. in the Beverly neighborhood.

I have not been, but the description reminds me of the ill-fated Grand Tour in Lincoln Square. I do not understand how a kitchen can claim mastery of, and stock ingredients for, so many different cuisines (although Chuck's Southern Comfort pulls off several cuisines well).

It's in the Morgan Park neighborhood (and community area). Beverly is north of 107th St.
