Blade replacement finally showed up today. No advance email to notify it was coming like they said they would.

Still haven't received mine. I believe that I filled out the form on the first day it was available.

    Hi,

    My replacement blade arrived Saturday.

I put it in the bowl to find it may be a mm or two smaller than my original blade. It may be meaningless, though I am holding onto the old blade for a while longer.

    Did anyone notice anything similar?

    Regards,

It's not meaningless. Check out the recent food processor ratings from ATK.

For those of us without access to ATK, could you summarize their findings?

Now seriously exploring alternatives to Cuisinart (Robot Coupe, etc.) and continuing to use my old blade and check it carefully after each use before eating/serving what I make with it.

In a nutshell, they said that the closer the blade reaches to the edge of the container, the better the result.

years ago, i had to throw out a cuisinart bowl and blade because the blade wouldn't come out of the bowl, so the bowl wouldn't come off the base. it had always been hard to lower the blade onto the center post (warning, cathy!), and one day it simply wouldn't release the bowl. actually, i might have mailed it back to cuisinart, i can't remember.

    Well, that took a while.

Finally got my new chopping blade today. I don't exactly remember when I requested the new one, but it was pretty early on. So, it took nearly 6 months to replace.

I signed up very early in the process as well. Still waiting. Getting pretty frustrated.

Looked in my email history and requested mine 12/16 (at about noon...I wonder how fast they were coming in those first few days). Received it about a week and a half ago.

The whole process appears to be very random. I ordered my replacement blade. A few weeks later I was visiting my parents and helped my mom complete the form. We have the same machine. She ended up receiving her replacement blade more than a month before I received mine. Oh well . . . my old blade is still perfectly fine.

Mine came about a week ago as well. I did continue to use the old one checking for signs of damage before and after each use.
