I was pretty impressed with Alegrias Seafood in Noble Square. The seafood cocktail was fantastic, and I could eat a bowl of the house Nayarit sauce over rice and be perfectly happy. The crab legs were cooked perfectly, the shrimp a bit over done for my taste. BYOB

For reference, Alegrias is the new name for Mariscos El Veneno, about which much has been written here. Good call.

I live right down the street from La Palapa and its always enjoyable, especially on a nice day. The outside seating is excellent and of course BYOB. Just look for the giant shark under the L tracks just off Damen and Archer.
